Issue 7: Keeping Tradition Alive

My “Cindy” Huynh is a proud VIU alumna, focused on sharing her knowledge in English with those who would like to learn the language. Throughout her time in the United States, My has found ways to adapt to American culture while maintaining her country’s traditions through singing, dancing, and more. We asked her some questions about her Vietnamese culture and her experience at VIU.

Issue 6: Alumni Spotlight - Julian Tanushi

Julian Tanushi is a graduate of Virginia International University.  During his time at our school, he studied for this Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.  He was the Class of 2010 Valedictorian. See what he has to say about his experience at VIU and his advice to soon-to-be graduates.

Samiullah is a recent graduate of Virginia International University.  He received his Masters of Public Administration with a concentration in Public Management.  Samisullah plans on taking his talents to his home country in order to make a significant difference.  Read on for his graduation speech.

Issue 6: A Quest for Education

Kaewkhwan Srisang is an MA in TESOL from Thailand.  She recently was awarded the President's Scholarship for her academic excellence and essay-writing skills. Read on to learn more about Kaewkhwan and how she came to study at Virginia International University. 

Issue 6: LinkedIn: Allowing Recruiters to Contact You about Employment

Robert Brandau teaching prospective employees about the ins-and-outs of LinkedIn Recruiting. 

Robert Brandau is the Founding Director of Career-Confidence.org. He has been in the recruiter field since 1998 in full time and part time capacities. He teaches, coaches and encourages people in job transitions. He has spoken at Virginia International University in March and April of 2016.
